Do you remember the time
the moon caught your eye,
in the car as dad drove us
home that winter night.
The sky was black, star-
lined and the white moon
was full, round, a smile
in the sky that promised
it would be there forever.

Do you remember the time
the moon caught your eye,
as you explored the world
from your window seat
with eyes wide watching
as the Earth's shadow
camoflagued its beauty,
but tonight don't it shine?

Do you remember the time
the moon caught your eye,
refclected in the picture
of a pool by a castle
in a picture book, white
and smiling, saying hi
as the dragons flew
high in a sky that was
always painted blue.

Do you remember the time
the moon caught your eye,
becoming pink as a peach
as the sun rose behind banks
of gold cloud, how it looked
school-kid happy and shyly
smiled down as it whispered
pst, pssst, pssssssst, is me.
For fun, this new years eve
it's promised to wear blue,
remember, look up to see.
